A new paradigm insight for the ‘New-Age’Cloud Training

July 8, 2019

Cloud has become the core component in a business organization and its supporting technologies and its capabilities is disrupting IT. The skill demands for IT teams are both essential to digital transformation initiatives and increasingly scarce. The skills gap directly impedes the flexibility of delivery, cost savings, and scalability that companies can expect to achieve in the cloud.

CoreIT therefore observes the need for a paradigm shift for Cloud training. We note the following things can bring in tremendous change in the way enterprises can work with this shift.

Treating Cloud-gap as dynamic business problem is a start
By establishing meaningful expectations around ongoing training programs, and constantly measuring progress toward ever-changing desired future states is the way to go for Cloud training. Realizing that continuous improvement should be the objective behind such trainings to constantly bring in radical change with each scenario.

Training with assessment is essential
To know where you are starting from, to know where you are going and how to get there -training should include assessment. Without assessment, managers do not have a good way to determine their team’s competence or measure their progress toward it. An assessment of teams track with respect to their training objectives can determine the amount of involvement from both the parties.

Training must address full range of stakeholders
With Cloud training, business professionals in non-IT roles must be able to interact about cloud at a high level with other teams or be able to point out solutions more effectively. This brings in an evaluation edge for platforms and performance to be implemented along with advanced security or cost optimization measures.

Technology- and platform-specific certifications must go hand-in-hand.
Vendor certifications are useful for acquiring foundational knowledge or for validating a specific skill set. Custom certification programs that align with the context of the role, the environment, the technology, and your internal processes will yield greater operational benefits, faster.
